Our philosophy
Alpacas are beautiful, curious and sensitive animals.
They draw us in and encourage us to slow down and just… be. Each year, we open our farm to guests to the lovely experience of spending time and learning about these amazing animals.
We craft our experiences for the benefit of our guests, and very importantly, our animals. We work in rhythm with the seasons, the weather and the animals natural patterns through the day.
We look forward to sharing a small piece of this magical world with you, your family and your friends.
Despite their gorgeous fluffy appearances, alpacas are quite cautious and sensitive and don’t like to be pet. Our immersive experiences allow you to have a number of interactions with the animals that allow for a natural and close experience guided by us, their owners.

FARM VISIT OPTIONS
The Bloomin’ Welly Alpaca Trekk (1.5-2h)

The Bloomin’ Welly Alpaca Experience is a morning spent having a meaningful connection with the alpacas and the farm
Inspired by the two rich creative towns that flank our farm — Bloomfield and Wellington — this 1.5+ hour experience with the alpacas is a perfect visit to anchor your day in the County. Slow down and experience a beautiful outdoor setting. We start with a welcome in our garden where we unwind and enjoy a seasonal beverage while getting oriented to the farm. You get the opportunity to touch an oh-so-soft alpaca fleece followed by a walk with your own alpaca through our fields while we look at the rich biodiversity that supports the farm farm. We wrap up in our alpaca “nursery” interacting and feeding our youngest alpacas for some well-earned cuteness overload. This is an immersive experience with lots of “behind the scenes” tips and treasures to alpaca raising. This experience is on the longer side and may not be suitable for young children.

Afternoons on selected days at 3 pm.
Alpacas are gentle, peaceful, curious and funny. Someone once called them “the dolphins of the pasture!” Which we couldn’t agree with this more!
We have developed this walk to allow you to experience the alpacas as authentically as possible in a shorter 1 h visit. One of the owners or trusted farm staff will guide you and a small group of 6 – 8 people following the alpaca’s seasonal grazing patterns and visit them where they would naturally be at the time of your visit. Walking out on our field paths, you will learn about alpacas and the great variety of flora and fauna that we nurture on the farm. In the field, we have a rest, share a refreshing handmade beverage and enjoy the view. We will call in the alpacas and see if they are interesting in hanging out with us (hint! It’s all about the kibble!!)
Field paths are maintained but not generally smooth enough for strollers. There is a gentle elevation in one of our main meadows. If you have any mobility needs we can adjust the route/experience with some advance notice. We endeavour to be accessible to everyone within the constraints of the farm environment.
